What is CryptoDickbutts NFT?
It’s not everyday you get to write about CryptoDickbutts (CDB), but here we are! Originally created in 2006 by comic book/meme artist K.C Green, “Dick Butts” quickly caught up with the times. Dick Butts eventually turned into the CryptoDickbutts collectors have grown to love in May of 2021.
Originally created much like his memes, as a joke, it quickly became an NFT worth holding; especially among CryptoPunk holders. There is something to be said of the simplicity their images share, so it’s no coincidence they would take a liking to CDB.
CryptoDickButts is actually their third series within the collection. This series was their largest to date with 5,200 within their series 3 collection and a mint price of .052 ETH. 161 were reserved for their OG collectors and another 39 were held for the dev team and giveaways. With no roadmap, no instructions on how to mint, and not much initial direction they quickly sold out because of course they did.
As of press time, CDB holds a floor price of 1.4 ETH. One of the attractive utilities to this project is their DAO and royalties from secondary sales, which will go towards their Community Treasury, “to fund the community…stuff“.

As mentioned above their latest release of CryptoDickbutts is their third release in their series. As stated via their OpenSea page, these “CDB have escaped from Gooch Island and are on the loose“.
Series 1 had only 52 CDB available. With Series 2, they added 104 more CDB to complete their OG Collection. With 161 items in total, their CryptoDickbutts OG collection currently holds a fun/impressive floor of 6.9 ETH. It would seem, as with most projects, OGs will always hold the most value and future utility. With that in mind, it is no surprise to see their OG collection sitting around a $20,000 floor.
The project sticks to its roots and is very meme-centric, which makes it fun for collectors and those within the NFT space. This project truly shows the power of the community, and illustrated the market setting the demand and value for a project.

Where & How To Buy?
With series 1-3 being minted and already sold out, you will have to shop on the secondary market to secure your CDB. Keep in mind there are two collections listed separately on OpenSea. You can find their OG collection on OpenSea here and you can find their Series 3 collection here.
The OG collection holds a much higher floor due to a more limited supply and more anticipated utility. Their series 3 collection saw a nice bump in sales volume on 2/15. Respectively, it had over 350 recorded sales and 518 ETH volume for the day.
